About the Coalition
Background
Led by the Center for Rural Affairs and Rapoza Associates, the RMAP Advocacy Coalition is a group of Microentrepreneur Development Organizations (MDOs) from across the country who work together to spread awareness and advocate for program improvements and funding.
Why we matter
The RMAP Advocacy Coalition matters because rural microbusinesses matter. Small businesses are the economic driver of rural communities, and RMAP helps to address the increasingly difficult lending environment faced by rural entrepreneurs.
The story of RMAP, however, cannot reach Washington D.C. without a group of individuals who are committed to reaching out to their lawmakers to share the program’s impact on a regular basis. Our shared voice helps ensure that decision makers representing all levels of government understand the significance of RMAP and what they can do to make sure it serves its purpose well into the future.
